Pool Host (Recreation)

Position Summary

Attends to all guests needs with Health Club facility, ensure that pool areas appointed to you, are cared for in a manner of ensuring that all policy and procedures are abide to, and carry out all duties in the absence of the Supervisor.

Primary Responsibility

- Provide prompt, efficient and courteous services to guests, members and visitors - Maintain Health Club facilities according to set standards of order and cleanliness - Report repairs and maintenance problems to manager or relevant department - Arranges and ensure swimming pool equipment are completed before opening hours of operation and maintaining the standard throughout your duty. - Check the proper water temperature and cleanliness in the swimming pool - Ensure swimming pool area is clean, neat and tidy and hygienic at all times - Acquirement of lifeguard qualifications - Maintain and control supplies and tools of the pool - Familiarize yourself with facilities, activities, equipment, services and other pertinent information in order to provide guest with accurate information - Maintain current first aid and CPR qualifications - Maintain cleanliness of training room and shower room - Check water temperature every 3 hours - Check chlorine concentration every 2 hours - Maintain through knowledge of all emergency procedures - Prepare life preserver such as stick, rope, life circle - Be knowledgeable about all hotel facilities in order to promote and sell them to guests - Ensure guests amenities, towels, linen and other guests needs have ample supply - Follow hotel procedures in relation to pool towel issue and retrieval - Conduct activities and services for guest, members and registered children while giving proper instruction and safety reminders (When requested) - Prevents guest accident in the swimming pool area - Abide by rules and regulations and policies and procedures of hotel - Conduct regular inspections of pool grounds to ensure cleanliness standards are maintained - Adhere to specified hygiene and personal appearance standards - To keep a watch on the guest when swimming in the pool ensuring their safety comes first.

Requirements

- 1 to 3 years of related experience - Secondary school plus vocational, trade or on-the job training - English and local language skills - Ability to read and write - Life saving - Good customer relations skills and be proactive - Able to handle physically demanding workload
