Position Summary

The incumbent in the position is responsible for maintaining the day to day operations of the Front Office Department in order to ensure to provide the highest professional services in accordance with the operating procedures and the Okura quality service standards. He/she is also acts as a representative of the hotel and handles all guest related matters brought to his/her attention in order to ensure guests' satisfaction.

Primary Responsibility

• Provide excellent service in all Front Office related matters. Maintains high visibility in order to ensure smooth running of operations, promotes good public relations and takes corrective actions to ensure their satisfaction. • Assisting in promotion of company’s services and products. • Maintain appropriate standards of conduct, dress, hygiene, uniforms, appearance and posture. • Organize and clean lobby regularly to ensure that high standards are always kept. • Maintain all procedures and adheres to them within the Okura guidelines; in particular, with emphasis on hotel credit policy. • Should be aware of the reservation process, be able to create new reservations and deal with any invoice discrepancies. • Follow hotel's cashiering procedures and guidelines. • Possess fluent knowledge of the city and geography of surrounding areas. • Maintains a friendly and caring relationship with the guests during their stay by providing them with information on the hotel services and local sites of interest, handling their requests and inquiries promptly. • Adapt to constantly changing situations and personalities of guests, ensuring quality service to all guests. Maintain decorum in stressful situations. Project warmth, care and concern for all guests along with proper etiquette. • Operate Executive Lounge and Business Centre cashiering in a rotating basis • Assumes other duties assigned by Management as required

Requirements

• Hospitality Management Bachelor Degree or equivalent in any related field • Minimum of 1 year experience in relevant working experience in Hospitality industry • Good command of communication skill • Self- motivated, proactive and a good time player • Willing to work on shifts • Pleasant personality • Customer Service Orientation • Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese • Proficiency in Japanese language or another foreign language is an advantage • Strong computer skills and writing skills • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Software: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Opera PMS / Micros are required
