Last week, as the sole representative from Macau, the GEG Culinary team participated Food & Hotel Asia (“FHA”) 2026 in Singapore, showcasing exceptional skill in the "FHA Dessert Challenge", a prestigious competition certified by the World Association of Chefs' Societies, with outstanding craftsmanship and professionalism.
Congratulations to Lam In San, Sous Chef of Galaxy Macau, and Huang Zesheng, Chef de Partie of Galaxy Macau, who earned a Gold Medal in the "Team Challenge: Elevated Afternoon Tea Set". Huang Zesheng also achieved further success by winning another Gold Medal in the "Individual Challenge: Plated Desserts".

GEG and Faculty of Business Administration of University of Macau Co organized “Exclusive Career Day,” Spotlighting Professional Skills in the Hospitality and Food & Beverage
Galaxy Entertainment Group has continued to collaborate with the Faculty of Business Administration of University of Macau to co organized “Exclusive Career Day” for many years, creating a platform for students to engage with industry professionals. This year, Ms. Joanne Chan, General Manager of The Ritz Carlton, Galaxy Macau was invited to share her career insights and advice with graduating students, she has been with GEG for 9 years, drew from her own career journey to encourage students to be bold in trying within a diverse hotel environment, emphasizing that continuous learning and growth are key to unlocking new opportunities.
In addition to on day interviews that allowed students to interact directly with GEG, the event also interactive skill show case booths, professional teams from the Hotel Training & Communications showcased Forbes International standard service skills, including attention to high-end guest service standards and room service details, enabling students to experience firsthand the professional expectations of international luxury hotels. Meanwhile, Food and Beverage featured a tea master presenting Chinese tea culture. Through demonstrations of tea ware arrangement, types of tea leaves, brewing techniques, and tea tasting etiquette, the unique charm of Chinese tea artistry was fully expressed. Surrounded by the aroma of tea, we experienced how the food and beverage industry is not only about technical expertise, but also about cultural heritage and tradition.
The event atmosphere was vibrant and engaging. From high-end hotel guest service to tea culture, students gained a comprehensive understanding of the professional landscape of the hospitality and food and beverage industries, injecting new inspiration into their future career planning.

This year, GEG opened positions across multiple departments to provide a wide range of options for talents from different backgrounds, to help participants better showcase themselves, GEG earlier collaborated with FAOM hosted an “Interview Skills Workshop”, the workshop guided attendees step by step from self-introduction, answering techniques, to personal presentation, using role-play and instant feedback to boost confidence and communication skills, thereby enhancing competitiveness.
Another highlight was the “Career Planning Consultation Support”, in addition to career counseling, GEG was invited Mr. Moses Chan, Assistant Manager – Butler Services of Capella at Galaxy Macau as a representative to share the latest trends and professional development directions in the hospitality industry through one-on-one sessions, offering tailored advice based on each talent’s background.
