GEG Hosts “IR Youth Program Talent Development Showcase and Ceremony” for Team Members
GEG has long been committed to supporting the Macau SAR Government’s policy of “Building Macau with Talent Training” through various initiatives aimed at cultivating local professionals for the integrated tourism and leisure industry. To encourage and recognize the outstanding achievements of team members who participated in the “GEG Integrated Resort Youth Development Program”, we hosted the “GEG IR Youth Program Talent Development Showcase and Ceremony” yesterday, at the Ballroom of Banyan Tree Macau at Galaxy Macau. The event was attended by a number of distinguished guests, including Mr. Wong Chi Hong, Director of the Labour Affairs Bureau (DSAL); Mr. Chan Un Tong and Mr. Chan Chon U, Deputy Directors of DSAL; Ms. Lei Lai Keng, Head of the Employment Department of DSAL; Ms. Cheung Wai, Head of the Vocational Training Department of DSAL; Ms. Eileen Lui, Group Director of Human Resources and Administration of GEG; Mr. Buddy Lam, Director of Corporate Affairs of GEG; and Mr. Roger Lienhard, Executive Vice President of Hospitality of Galaxy Macau.
Since 2023, GEG has partnered with DSAL to co-organize the “GEG Integrated Resort Youth Development Program”, which has provided over 180 local talents with diverse employment opportunities in Food & Beverage, Hotel & MICE Operations, Integrated Resort Services, Security Operations & Asset Protection, and Transportation. Meticulously curated to include up to 300 hours of professional courses and vocational training, participants achieved an average of four industry-recognized certifications through this program, helping to lay a solid foundation for their upward mobility. Moving forward, we will continue to collaborate closely with DSAL to enrich the talent pool for Macau’s integrated tourism and leisure industry.

GEG team members recently completed the "Macao Youth Professional Development Program," jointly organized by the Macao Education and Youth Development Bureau and the University of Macau, contributing to local talent development through three intensive learning phases.
Phase one focused on national education, exploring how Macao's unique advantages can drive economic diversification and studying innovative technologies like AI. Phase two involved internships in Tokyo, Bangkok, and Shenzhen, providing insights into high-end service operations and cross-cultural management. The final phase in Beijing concentrated on leadership training, enhancing team communication and management skills.
This program demonstrates GEG's active integration into national development strategies while providing valuable growth opportunities for each employee. We remain committed to contributing to Macao's economic diversification.

A total of 13 GEG team members from Hotel Operations, Food & Beverage and Security advanced to the finals with their exceptional showcase of professionalism and skills, helping to achieve five Gold Pin Awards in the categories of: Chinese Chef (Cantonese Cuisine), Chinese Chef (Dim Sum), Bartender, Tea Master, and Waiter / Waitress (Western Restaurant Services). We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to our team members for their tremendous efforts in the competition. Moving forward, GEG will continue to invest in our team members’ continuous learning and create opportunities for career advancement, fostering diverse talents for the sustainable development of Macau’s integrated tourism and leisure industry.
