GEG Supports “Dream Job Comes True” Pre-Work Experience Program to Deepen Young Peoples’ Understanding of Various Fields
GEG has always been actively supporting the career development of Macau’s youth. From July to August, we participated in the “Dream Job Comes True” Pre-Work Experience Program organized by the Education and Youth Development Bureau, providing nine local high school students with three-week internships. These students were assigned to different departments, including Information Systems & Technology, Finance, MICE Operations, Entertainment Services, and Marketing Services, and under the professional guidance of “SiFus” (a Chinese term for mentors), received an immersive industry experience that exposed them to firsthand insights into industry operations and workplace culture, helping them develop teamwork and problem-solving skills.
The students presented their internship achievements at the recent results-sharing session, sharing the rewards and challenges of their first workplace experience, as well as the valuable lessons learned from their “SiFus”. Moving forward, GEG will continue to support Macau’s youth development through diverse initiatives, deepen young peoples’ understanding of workplace culture, and assist young people in their career planning.

YAP Students Learn About GEG’s Green Technology and Low Carbon Practices Through Visits and Seminar
Co-organized by GEG and the Macau Management Association, the “14th GEG Youth Achievement Program” (YAP) launched a series of workshops and seminars under the theme of “Empowering Technology, Creating Value” to enhance local young people’s understanding of cutting-edge technology. Recently, 20 YAP students visited GEG’s properties for the “Green Career Talk: GEG’s Future Path in Sustainability”, where Mr. Justin Li, AVP of Sustainability & Technical Services of GEG, introduced them to GEG’s green technology practices, and encouraged them to explore green career pathways.
The students also toured the back-of-house areas of the Diamond Lobby of Galaxy Macau, to learn about the intelligent operation of the performance system, and experienced the application of AI-powered autonomous mobile robots in logistics and carbon reduction, then explored GEG’s energy-efficient Central Chiller Plant to gain insights into innovative technology and low-carbon management practices, and to better appreciate how green technology drives sustainable development. Through this event, GEG aims to equip young people with knowledge about green technology and low-carbon living, nurturing future leaders with innovative thinking and sustainable development concepts for Macau.

GEG x UTM Co-organized F&B Career Development Day
To promote the development of local talent in the food and beverage industry, GEG partnered with the Macau University of Tourism to host the F&B Career Development Day, attracting students who are passionate about the F&B sector. The event not only showcased GEG’s corporate culture, future development plans, and its commitment to providing comprehensive training and a supportive work environment, but also offered on-the-spot interviews for students aspiring to pursue careers in high-end dining.
We were honored to have Executive Chef Mr. Yorick Soh from the F&B Department join the event to introduce an exciting new collaboration between Galaxy Macau and internationally renowned chef Vicky Cheng.
