Position Summary
As a member of the 'Build' team, the Assistant Manager - Project Management provides high quality and timely consultancy and project/program management services on a variety of Gaming and Marketing systems. He/she will work under the supervision and guidance from his/her reporting supervisor to proactively research, define and drive business IT-related initiatives to success. The position requires an experienced and motivated individual with the ability to utilize their talents, skills, and abilities in a coordinated and consistent team effort.
Primary Responsibility
- Drive key business initiatives for Gaming and Marketing systems, with a vision to deliver quality solutions benefiting internal business stakeholders and the group as a whole
- Oversee implementation of Gaming related applications involving development of requirements, functional and technical specifications of the applications
- Manage the Gaming Solution and 'virtual' project teams in terms of resource planning, work quality, deliverable and timeliness
- Provide resource and consulting support to relevant business projects, directing the applications functionality, integration needs and infrastructure and related technology components within agreed standards
- Manage vendors ensuring open and transparent relationship that clearly defines the preferential status and demonstrates a beneficial service/commercial rates
- Effective handover to the IS&T Operations 'Run' team of specific design and operating support instructions for both infrastructure and applications
- Work in close partnership with the IS&T 'Plan' team to consolidate the strategic needs and desires from the business to identify and prioritize future initiatives
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, systems analysis, or a related study, or equivalent experience
- 5 or more years of experience in not less than one IT discipline including, but not limited to business analysis & design, project & program management, application support, IT & business systems operations, etc
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong ability to communicate in English. The ability to communicate in Cantonese and/or Mandarin will be an advantage
