Position Summary
Primary responsibility of Cost Control Accounting Associate is to provide accounting and cost control support in various areas of F&B and Retail related operations. This role aims to optimize cost efficiency, profitability, and financial performance.
Primary Responsibility
• Conduct inventory count, identify variances, and provide monthly slow-moving items report. Assist with inventory risk monitoring and count scheduling.
• Support recipe checking, activation, and review transfer documents for accuracy and completeness.
• Generate and combine reports for weekly cost analysis, including monitoring food and beverage costs and ensuring successful retail sales transaction synchronization.
• Maintain accurate financial records, prepare journal entries for month-end closing, and assist with Balance Sheet accounts reconciliation.
• Analyze and monitor food costs, including ingredients, labor, and overhead expenses in Production Kitchens. Collaborate with Production Kitchen teams for time study scheduling and completion rate monitoring.
• Calculate individual recipe costs, compare with actual costs, and identify cost drivers, trends, and areas for improvement.
• Conduct regular cost reviews, variance analysis, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Monitor actual performance against budgeted targets, provide analysis and recommendations for cost control and financial improvement.
• Collaborate with chefs, culinary teams, and business partners to develop accurate recipe costing, address errors, and communicate effectively.
• Perform assigned duties, maintain document filing, and handle ad hoc tasks as required.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree; additional education in accounting, finance, or CPA is a plus.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, VBA, and Power Query for data analysis. Knowledge of Power BI, SQL, and Python is a plus.
• Experience in accounting or auditing and familiarity with SAP and RedRock are advantageous.
