Assistant Manager (Electrica & SCSl)

Position Summary

The Assistant Manager – Electrical & SCS is responsible to support for the management of the Electrical & SCS Team of Facilities Management (FM) to provide operation & maintenance (O&M) of the 110kV Sub-station, High Voltage/ Medium Voltage/ Low Voltage Electrical Systems, Generators, Uninterruptible Power Systems, Structured Cabling Systems for the Galaxy Macau Cotai precinct for the 24/7 running of all the business operations in Gaming, Hospitality, F&B, MICE and Administration, etc., in terms of business continuity, legitimacy, guest comfort and future development in a professional, work-efficient and cost-effective manner.

Primary Responsibility

1. Support Manager/ Senior Manager – Electrical & SCS in planning and managing the budget of the Electrical & SCS team by setting OPEX budgets and CAPEX projects/ upgrades in alignment with the approved business plan of FM and Galaxy Entertainment Group (GEG)
2. Support Manager/ Senior Manager – Electrical & SCS in O&M services and Alteration & Addition Works (A&A) and Improvement/ Upgrade Projects of the Power Utility (CEM), 110kV Sub-station, High Voltage/ Medium Voltage/ Low Voltage Electrical Systems, LV Distribution Systems, Generators, Uninterruptible Power Systems, Earthing System, Lightning Protection System, Structured Cabling Systems no matter inhouse or outsourced to provide facility management services to support different business functions in Gaming, Hospitality, F&B, MICE and Administration thus warranting the business continuity, uplifting the productivity, elevating the profitability and ensuring the well-being of guests/ team members in a courteous, efficient, effective and professional manner
3. Support Manager/ Senior Manager – Electrical & SCS in building and maintaining the effective communication, coordination and collaboration within FM and across GEG including all the GEG business units and Vendors/ Service Providers
4. Implement the approved O&M plans for the 110kV Sub-station, High Voltage/ Medium Voltage/ Low Voltage Electrical Systems, LV Distribution Systems, Generators, Uninterruptible Power Systems, Earthing System, Lightning Protection System, Structured Cabling Systems including but not limited to the Operation Plan, Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) program, the non-scheduled Corrective Maintenance (CM) jobs and the Emergency Repair in a proper, work-efficient, cost-effective and professional manner with adherence to the statutory requirements, the brand standards, the O&M Manuals, the industrial best practices and directive from Senior Manager – Electrical & SCS; timely review and report
5. Prepare contractual and technical proposals (e.g. specification, tender and contract) for effective execution of engineering services/ works related to power supply by CEM and O&M of the 110kV Sub-station, High Voltage/ Medium Voltage/ Low Voltage Electrical Systems, LV Distribution Systems, Generators, Uninterruptible Power Systems, Earthing System, Lightning Protection System, Structured Cabling Systems with associated equipment/ accessories, and managing/ monitoring/ supervision of the same in a courteous, efficient, effective and professional manner; timely review and report
6. Support Manager/ Senior Manager – Electrical & SCS in developing the Emergency Response/ Action plans or Crisis Management/ Handling procedures and properly and effectively executing the same in accordance with the approved Policy & Procedures (P&P), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and directive from Senior Manager – Electrical & SCS; timely review and report
7. Keep close tracking of the approved Key Performance Index (KPI) and the target energy performance; timely review, report and adjust accordance with the directive from Senior Manager - Electrical & SCS as necessary
8. Ascertain the proper, efficient and effective implementation of the O&M plans through tracking with the New Enterprise Asset Management System (EAM) and benchmarking with the approved KPIs for conformity to the approved brand standards, compliance to the statutory requirements and the achievement of energy saving target; timely review, report and adjust as necessary
9. Support Manager/ Senior Manager – Electrical & SCS in managing Sustainability, WHS (Workplace Health & Safety), Environmental, Risk Management, Quality Assurance/ Control, etc., by participating in the related activities and fostering the same culture in the Electrical & SCS team through trainings and regular communication

Requirements

1. Experienced in operation and maintenance of 110kV Sub-station, High Voltage/ Medium Voltage/ Low Voltage Electrical Systems, LV Distribution Systems, Generators, Uninterruptible Power Systems, Earthing System, Lightning Protection Systems, Structured Cabling Systems
2. Background in Building Services/ Mechanical/ Electrical/ Engineering
3. Holder of a bachelor’s degree or above in relevant engineering disciplines plus at least 8 years relevant working experience, or Holder of Higher Diploma in relevant engineering disciplines plus 10 years or above relevant working experience, or Holder of Craft Certificate in relevant engineering disciplines plus 12 years or above relevant working experience
4. Managerial level in 5 star hotel/ resort is preferred
5. Possession of EMSD Electrical Worker Certificate Grade B and Grade H desirable
6. Mature, helpful and pleasant characters with strong leadership skill, good communication technique, proactive & positive manner, team-player spirit, result-oriented mind-set, uncompromised integrity and “CAN DO” attitude
7. Fluent in both writing and verbal communication in Chinese (Cantonese/ Putonghua) and English
8. Exposure in hotel/ hospitality industry is preferred
9. Proficiency in energy and environmental service management
