Position Summary

Carry out regular inspections of guest rooms, VIP rooms, guest room corridors and back-of-house areas on the guest floors to ensure standards are being maintained. Assist to train and develop his/her subordinates, supervise external contractors/vendors and establish a good working relationship with Team Members and other departments. Carry out regular stock inventory and requisition to ensure the department has sufficient stock for day-to-day operations. Assist in monitoring and managing department expenses in achieving financial goals. Constantly review and source products to ensure the hotel operating supplies and equipment remain competitive in the market

Primary Responsibility

  • Always maintain personal hygiene and well groomed, wear a clean and tidy uniform
  • Foster a cohesive and courteous atmosphere in alignment with our “Asian Heart” spirit
  • Inspect VIP rooms daily and settle complaints from guests
  • Conduct daily inspections of all responsible areas and upkeep standards for guest rooms, back-of-house and corridors to the required standard
  • Collaborate with other departments in a supportive and flexible manner
  • Issue work assignments to Supervisors, Housemen, Room Attendants and Coordinators
  • Keep the work locations, stations and equipment organized and professional
  • Manage stock level of guest room supplies, mini-bar items, cleaning equipment and operating equipment
  • Manage hotel expenses to ensure it is aligned with the budget
  • Analyze profit and loss related figures, report and coordinate in purchase planning and vendor performance evaluation
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities to enhance hotel profitability
  • Manage assets disposal workflow
  • Control, schedule and maintain all housekeeping equipment on regular basis
  • Coordinate furniture reupholstery and the logistics with relevant parties
  • Ensure the department complies with internal cost audit and external material safety audit
  • Operate and assure company standards & requirements including but not limited to ISO are in compliance at workplace
  • Comply with hotel and departmental policies and procedures
  • Monitor stock refill flow and conduct regular linen and OS&E inventory check during overnight

Requirements

  • Diploma or higher in Hospitality Management (degree preferred)
  • Minimum of 2 years working experience in the supervisory level in housekeeping department
  • Good communication skills
