Position Summary

  • Operates under the general direction of the Manager - Front Office Training and in accordance with the objectives, performance and training standards established by the Galaxy Hotel to support all aspects of training needs for hotel operations.
  • Conducting and planning robust training programs and structure in place within Hotel Operations
  • Working with Galaxy Hotel sectional leaders to identify the training needs and narrow down the service excellence gap
  • Champions and advocates the Asian Heart attributes and supports the Galaxy hotel leadership to build upon our culture

Primary Responsibility

  • Drives and champions front office training and ensure the team is trained to deliver thoughtful, intuitive and gracious service with highest level of consistency embracing elements of luxury
  • Responsible for the training function in the front office operations among all hotels and assist Manager – Front Office Training in other areas and projects
  • Take care of new front office Team Member's onboarding experience and ensure they are well settled in
  • Be the guardian of the departmental ops training manual and standard operating procedures to ensure maximum comforts for the guests.
  • Conduct enterprise system trainings, such as Opera, FCS, Visiononline, etc
  • Design and implement tracking tools and processes for on-going coaching and assessment of front office standards
  • Provide on-the-job training and guidance to Team Members and access their respective performance and ability

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of front office experience with at least 1 year in supervisory position or similar capacity
  • Good knowledge and understanding of hotel operations and PMS systems, OPERA is preferred.
  • Experience in delivery of training program will be advantaged
  • Ability to collaborate well, be a team-player, coach, and develop others
  • Excellent communication skills in English, Mandarin and Cantonese.
  • Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management
