Position Summary
Assistant Manager is responsible for the effective and efficient daily operation of the department to ensure high standards of uniform presentation to all team members are maintained at all times.
Primary Responsibility
- Ensure the operations within the department are operated efficiently and professionally.
- Liaise with Wardrobe Supervisors and Team Leaders regarding all necessary information relevant to the operation of the department.
- Maintain a professional working relationship within the Wardrobe and to all fellow employees.
- Ensure department meets deadlines in provision of uniforms to set standards.
- Assume responsibility for the functions of the Wardrobe in the absence of the Manager.
- Constantly work towards developing new and efficient methods to alleviate uniform expenditure by assisting departmental uniform/promotional requests.
- Support the future development of the Department by constantly reviewing new concepts and work practices to improve the standard of service.
- Preparing and updating all Policies and Procedures dependent on business needs.
- Maintaining computer system to optimize efficiency.
- Demonstrated high standard of customer service.
- Coordination of workflow to meet business requirements.
- Preparing special events projects e.g. to coordinate procedure for distribution of events
- Responsible for Wardrobe purchasing and control the quantity of procurement in processing.
- Arranging Supervisors and Team leaders for the store receiving and ensure the maintenance of purchasing and receiving.
- Arranging Supervisors and Team leaders for controlling the store keeping, shortage and damaging of Wardrobe.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years experience in Hotel uniform/laundry operation
- Knowledge of similar operations (Wardrobe or Dry Cleaning orientated) is preferred
- Adheres to and supports the Company's Vision and Values
- Good organization ability and administrative skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Familiar with computer skills, proficient in MS Office
