Position Summary

The Assistant Project Manager (APM) – Project Management is responsible for assisting the Senior Project Manager (SPM) and Project Managers (PM) in all aspects of the management of the approved design and construction of  capital projects and amendment and alteration works. The role of APM is also responsible for daily on site management, supervision of works and contractors in term of workmanship, time/progress and safety/environment aspects. The APM is also required to assist on mobile hoarding managment and will be assigned as construction waste management goal keeper, to assist these associated tasks as part of project management.

Primary Responsibility

 

  1. Assist in  projects delivery on time, within budget and to the agreed quality standards through robust site and project management methods.
  2. Assist the Project Manager in managing the development and stakeholder sign off, of detailed design briefs, including operational requirements, brand positioning, financial, logistical and time constraints.
  3. Liaise closely with key stakeholders with respect to all works being undertaken on the site, to ensure clear information flow and
    minimum disruption to Galaxy Macau business units.
  4. Assist the Project Manager to engage and manage contractors, external consultants, including specialist contractors and consultants
    (building services, feature lighting, graphics etc) ensuring they deliver a high quality of work and are cost and time efficient.
  5. Assist the Project Manager to manage administration and also make sure the operational annual budgets, KPIs, metric are met.
  6. Assist the Project Manager for preparation PTW and all necessary follow up actions.
  7. Candiate with less qualifications and/or experiences can consider as Senior Project Coordinator.

 

Requirements:

  1. University degree in the field of Construction / Engineering Discipline.
  2. At least 5 years experience in building / construction industry and A&A Works.
  3. Experience in managing external consultants in a project delivery role
  4. Highly organized
  5. Strong demonstrated problem solving skills
  6. High level communication skills
  7. Certain knowledge of AUTOCAD and PHOTOSHOP are benefit to the role of APM.
