Position Summary

Responsible for the operational efficiency of Concierge Desk during shift and the service delivery of those areas.

Primary Responsibility

• Greets and ensures that all guests are attended at all times in a friendly and helpful manner and attempts to learn to use guest's name at every opportunity. • Does everything possible to ensure that the guests depart the Hotel with a positive impression of the Hotel services. • Maintains exemplary department standards of behavior and appearance and attitude. • Takes personal interest and pride to ensure that the Concierge work areas are kept clean and in an orderly state at all times. • Has full knowledge of Galaxy Hotel standards. • Ensures guests receive prompt attention and request will be fulfilled immediately. • Provides information pertaining to all Hotel services, local places of interests, restaurants, doctors, sightseeing tours and any other information likely to be of interest to the guests. • Is alivays prepared to recommend first and foremost the Hotel's own FandB outlets before any other, making himself/herself totally familiar with the operating hours and each outlet's specialty. • Ensures that the lobby is always kept in an orderly fashion and that ashtrays are kept clean. • Handles problems associated with guests and refers to his/her superior if he/she is unable to help. • Sells stamps and ensures proper inventory. • Ensures that all Concierge equipment is accounted for and are always in good condition. • Ensures that all Hotel flags are in order at all times. • Maintains a neat and tidy appearance at all times. • Assumes other duties assigned by Management as required.

Requirements

• Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of Hotel facilities and services • Education, Training Qualifications: Certificate holder in Hospitality Management or related discipline. • Experience: Relevant experience of Front Office in the Hotel industry is an advantage • Personality: Initiative, organized and detail-oriented; excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Good command of both written and spoken English, Cantonese or Mandarin • Other Requirement: Knowledge of another foreign language other than the ones mentioned above is an advantage
