Position Summary
'The Culinary Trainer is responsible for assisting in the delivery of culinary training programs, conducting practical demonstrations, and providing guidance to participants. The Culinary Trainer plays a vital role in inspiring and developing aspiring chefs and F&B professionals.
Primary Responsibility
'Assist in Training Delivery:
• Collaborate with the Chef Instructor to deliver culinary training programs, courses, and workshops to participants.
• Conduct practical demonstrations of culinary techniques, cooking methods, and menu planning.
• Support participants during hands-on training sessions, providing guidance, feedback, and assistance as needed.
Curriculum Support:
• Assist in the development and refinement of training materials, lesson plans, and training aids.
• Provide input and suggestions to enhance the curriculum, incorporating industry trends and best practices.
• Collaborate with the Chef Instructor in assessing and updating training programs to meet evolving needs and standards.
Subject Matter Expertise:
• Demonstrate expertise in various cuisines, cooking techniques, food safety practices, and kitchen management principles.
• Stay updated with industry developments, emerging culinary trends, and innovations in the F&B sector.
Classroom Management:
• Maintain a positive and engaging learning environment during training sessions.
• Ensure adherence to safety and sanitation practices, promoting a clean and organized training space.
• Assist in the setup and organization of training equipment, supplies, and ingredients.
Collaboration and Communication:
• Collaborate with the Chef Instructor and other team members to ensure a cohesive and coordinated training program.
• Communicate regularly with the Chef Instructor, sharing updates, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
• Participate in team meetings, contributing ideas and suggestions for enhancing the training program.
Requirements
• Culinary training and certification from a reputable culinary institute or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience working in a culinary environment, preferably as a chef or culinary specialist.
• Strong knowledge of various cuisines, cooking techniques, and food safety practices.
• Excellent culinary skills, with the ability to demonstrate and teach cooking techniques effectively.
• Passion for culinary arts and a genuine desire to help aspiring chefs and F&B professionals succeed.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and connect with students.
• Patience, adaptability, and the ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
• Organizational skills and attention to detail in maintaining training records and materials
