Position Summary

The incumbent in the position is responsible for providing courteous and friendly service to all guests at the hotel driveway, lobby, front desk reception area and lift areas.

Primary Responsibility

• To maintain high visibility in the lobby and front desk area and provide assistance to our guests in a pro-active way at Okura standards of excellence. • To maintain a friendly and caring relationship with the guests during their stay by providing them with information on the hotel services. • To develop good open communication and rapport with all guests. Recognise return guests and ensure all guests expectations are met and exceeded at all times. • To promote the positive image of the hotel. • To maintains positive guest and colleague interactions with good working relationships. • To obtain specific instructions and details from superior regarding scheduled arrivals and departures as well as functions to be able to anticipate traffic in the driveway. • To be able to provide related information to arriving guests. • To provide guests information they may ask like directions, functions, scheduled attractions, etc. • To greet guests entering the Hotel and to bid farewell to guests leaving the Hotel. • .To assist front reception with check in and check out procedures • To greet guests who wish to take the elevator and escort where appropriate. • To ask guests where they would be going and press the corresponding lift button. • To be in charge of the traffic in general public areas of hotel. • To coordinate with Concierge should there be a need to assist guests with their luggage or transportation requirements.

Requirements

• Preferably 1 year experience in relevant working experience in Hospitality industry. Hotel school trainees or entrants in the hospitality can be considered for this function. • Hotel School/ Hospitality education. • Fluency in Japanese • Proficiency in English / Chinese preferable • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software: Word, Excel and PowerPoint. • Knowledge of PMS
