Laboratory Technician

Position Summary

Fully in charge of laboratory operation for conducting food microbial tests internally and participate in the regular CNAS audit, therefore, a professional laboratory technician is required. He/She is responsible for the organization, management and development of laboratory, and the maintenance of the efficiency in operation.

Primary Responsibility

Manage and monitor the operation of laboratory testing • Preview CNAS document and participate the audit • Develop and review microbiological testing menu • Perform and oversee daily microbiological tests • Evaluates test performance, provide feedback and initiate recommendations regarding laboratory procedures and testing issues • Analyze test results, provide recommendations, prepare test report within schedule and documented • Conduct routine maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment • Order laboratory chemicals and consumables, and perform monthly stock taking • Update and review microbiological guidelines • Conduct microbial test training to team member • Undertake any other duties assigned

Requirements

• Diploma holder or above in Food Science /Chemistry/Biotechnology or other related disciplines • At least 5 years of relevant working experience in microbiological laboratory testing • Commercial laboratory working experience is preferred • Knowledge and experience in ISO/IEC 17025 is a must • Good command of both spoken and written in English and Chinese • Independent, well-organized and efficient • Scheduled 5-day per week, Operational staff
