Position Summary
The Manager – Plant Operation & HVAC is responsible to support for the management of the Plant Operation & HVAC Team of Facilities Management (FM) to provide operation & maintenance (O&M) of the Central Chiller Plants, Boiler Plants, Fuel Storage & Distribution system and HVAC air side system for the Galaxy Macau Cotai precinct for the 24/7 running of all the business operations in Gaming, Hospitality, F&B, MICE and Administration, etc., in terms of business continuity, legitimacy, guest comfort and future development in a professional, work-efficient and cost-effective manner.
Primary Responsibility
- Support the Senior Manager - Plant Operation & HVAC in budget planning and management, including OPEX and CAPEX projects, in line with FM and GEG business objectives
- Assist in managing the operation, maintenance, alteration, improvement and upgrade projects for Central Chiller Plants, Boiler Plants, Fuel Storage & Distribution Systems, and HVAC systems. Ensure reliable facility management services that support Gaming, Hospitality, F&B, MICE and Administration operations
- Support the leadership, development and performance management of the Plant Operation & HVAC team, while fostering effective communication and collaboration across FM, GEG business units, contractors and service providers
- Implement approved operation and maintenance plans, including preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance and emergency repairs, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, company standards, manufacturer recommendations and industry best practices
- Prepare technical specifications, tender documents and contracts for engineering services and projects. Monitor and supervise contractors to ensure quality, safety, cost-effectiveness and timely completion of works
- Assist in developing and implementing emergency response plans, crisis management procedures and business continuity measures. Support incident investigations and corrective actions where required
- Monitor system performance, maintenance effectiveness, energy consumption and operational KPIs. Recommend improvement initiatives and corrective actions to enhance reliability, efficiency and sustainability
- Ensure effective utilization of CMMS to manage maintenance activities, asset performance and compliance requirements, while supporting continuous improvement and achievement of energy-saving targets.
- Support sustainability, environmental, quality assurance, risk management and workplace health & safety initiatives through active participation, team engagement and compliance monitoring
- Provide technical and engineering support to GEG business units as required and undertake any other duties assigned by management
Requirements
- Degree/Higher Diploma in Engineering discipline with extensive HVAC operations and maintenance experience
- Proven managerial experience in a 5-star hotel, resort, or similar environment
- Strong leadership, communication, and energy management expertise
