Position Summary

The  Manager Casino & Podium is responsible for the management of the  Casino & Podium team for the effective and efficient operation and maintenance of systems and equipment in the Galaxy Macau Resort responding to the needs of the business on a 24/7 shift rotation in support of operations in gaming, food & beverage, retail mall, theatre, cinemas and administration, to ensure the safe, efficient and reliable operation and maintenance of Engineering System and Equipment, and Building Services within the Galaxy Resort Casino & Podium area.  Moreover to assist the hotel duty team to support the hotel operation as needed and during emergency.

Primary Responsibility

1. Responsible for the normal daily operation and maintenance of the plant, systems, equipment under the responsible of Casino & Podium team and related contractor ensuring business continuity, and the safety and comfort of our guests and team members are not compromised.
2. Act as the first response to attend the emergency incident to control the damage and minimize the interruption to the Galaxy Macau operation by coordinating with related FM teams and Business Units.
3. Manage and lead the  Casino & Podium teams Supervisors and Senior Technicians to perform  and providing continued support through shift meetings, on job training and effective shift handover.
4. Develop effective relationships within the Engineering and Facilities team and across the Galaxy Macau Business Units and Service Providers.
5. To comply with established policies and procedures of Galaxy Macau Resort 
6. Direct liaison with the 24/7 Security team for monitoring and response to fire alarms and emergency incident.
7. Active participant in the delivery of Galaxy Macau environmental initiatives for energy management , water saving  and sustainability.
8. Promote a culture of Workplace Health and Safety through training and effective daily communication with the teams and enforcement of related policy and procedure.
9. Maintain accurate records of shift records and maintenance activities and complete planned preventive maintenance schedules as detailed in engineering shift log.
10. Assist in the development and continual improvement of Standard Operating and Emergency procedures for engineering activities.

Requirements

1. Bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical or building servicesengineering discipline.
2. Professional qualification in electrical, mechanical or building servicesengineering discipline is highly preferred.
3. Over 10 years experience in engineering operation and maintenance in a large casino and hotel facility, with at least five years in supervisory or management position.
4. Knowledge of energy management and Building Maintenance System (BMS) Strategies.
5. Knowledge of lighting dimmer system, operation and maintenace.
6. Possession of EMSD Electrical Worker Certificate  Grade C/H desirable.
7. Good leadership and able to make sound decision during emergency.
8. Good interpersonal skill to deal effectively with all levels of staffs, contractors, suppliers and vendors.
9.Good working knowledge in computer skills and use of all MS Office applications, including Outlook and PowerPoint presentation.
10. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
11. Ability to work on shift, irregular working hours and overtime.
12. Good command in written and spoken Cantonese, Mandarin and English.
13. Good health, physically fit and in personal grooming and presentation.
14. Team spirit, cooperation and “CAN DO” attitude.
15. Energetic, enthusiastic and hardworking.
