Manager - Data Governance

Position Summary
Manager - Data Governance is responsible to support the Data Governance Team to drive all levels of strategy, vision and execution in order to deliver on the mission of governing and monetizing critical data assets as well as to influence and provide expertise to the security, quality, definition, compliance, and other data functions across the enterprise by establishing the organization-wide strategic data roadmap and engagement model for data governance, data management, data science and analytics utilizing business and industry knowledge.
Primary Responsibility
• Establish and maintain a comprehensive data governance framework, including policies, standards, and procedures to ensure the proper management and oversight of the organization's data assets.
• Collaborate with a cross-functional workgroup to define and implement data governance, stewardship, security, quality initiatives.
• Develop and oversee data quality management processes to monitor, measure, and improve the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of data across the enterprise.
• Lead the development and maintenance of a data dictionary to provide a centralized repository of metadata, data lineage, and data usage information.
• Provide guidance and training to data stakeholders and consumers to ensure their proficiency and awareness of data governances requirements and responsbilities.
• Influence the strategic direction for how business unit uses data to elevate business performance and values.
• Contribute in defining big data roadmap, business intelligence and data strategy; leveraging data assets in support of business strategy.
• Establish a level of trust and credibility by building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related field. Advanced degree (e.g., Master's, MBA) preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in data management, data governance, data analysis, or a related field, with a strong understanding of data architecture, data modeling, and data life cycle management.
• 3+ years of experience in management role. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
• Experience with data governance technologies such as data dictionary, data lineage, data quality management platforms.
• Proficient in data quality management techniques, including data profiling, data cleansing, and data validation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify data-related issues, root causes, and implement effective solutions.
• Knowledge of data privacy and security regulations and the ability to ensure organizational compliance.
