Manager - Executive Talent Research

Position Summary
The Manager - Executive Talent Research is the strategic intelligence engine of the Executive Recruitment team. This role is pivotal in identifying, engaging, and cultivating relationships with passive executive talent for mission-critical roles. This position will lead efforts in market mapping, talent intelligence, and proactive pipeline development to ensure the GEG organization has access to the best leadership talent in the market.
Primary Responsibility
1) Market Mapping & Talent Identification
- Conduct deep-dive market mapping across industries, functions, and geographies to identify top executive talent.
- Utilize advanced sourcing methodologies, including LinkedIn, AI agents, and proprietary tools, to uncover hidden talent pools.
- Analyze organizational structures and leadership movements to pinpoint high-potential candidates.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, recruitment practices, and new sourcing methods.
2) Passive Talent Engagement
- Build and maintain a strategic database of passive executive talent aligned with current and future business needs.
- Develop tailored outreach and engagement strategies to initiate and nurture long-term relationships with top-tier candidates.
- Maintain ongoing communication with key talent to ensure readiness and interest for future opportunities.
3) Talent Intelligence & Insights
- Gather and synthesize market intelligence to inform sourcing strategies and hiring decisions.
- Monitor competitor activity, leadership changes, and industry trends to stay ahead of the talent landscape.
- Provide actionable insights and reports to senior stakeholders on talent availability and market dynamics.
4) Pipeline Development
- Proactively build executive talent pipelines for succession planning and critical roles.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to forecast talent needs and align research efforts with strategic priorities.
5) Relationship Management & Collaboration
- Act as a trusted advisor to Executive Recruiters and HR Business Partners.
- Work closely with Executive Recruiters to draft search brief, prepare target universe, mapping areas and deliverables
- Screen and assess candidates' suitability for specific roles based on their skills, experience, and qualifications
- Represent the employer brand with professionalism and discretion in all candidate interactions.
- Partner with internal teams to ensure seamless handover of qualified leads and insights.
Requirements
Education
University Degree or above.
Knowledge, skills and abilities
1) Bachelor's degree or above in Human Resources, Business and other related fields
2) 5+ years of experience in executive research, strategic sourcing, or talent intelligence, preferably in an in-house or search firm setting.
3) Strong understanding of executive-level roles, organizational structures, and market dynamics.
4) Proficiency in sourcing tools, LinkedIn, AI agents, CRM systems, and data visualization platforms.
5) Exceptional communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
6) Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
7) Previous experience in working in Integrated Resorts, Hospitality and Consumer Services companies would be advantageous
Computer skills
Proficient with all Microsoft packages including, Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Language proficiency
Fluency in English and Chinese is a must. Other Western languages is a plus.
