Position Summary

This position is responsible for managing the Company’s insurance portfolio and supporting the protection of the organization’s assets, liabilities, people and financial exposures, this included but not limited to, insurance programme administration, renewals, claims management, policy governance, budget control, and insurance-related financial and risk analysis.
Candidate will work closely with internal stakeholders including Finance, Legal, Human Resources, Facilities Management, Security & Surveillance and Project Development etc to ensure that insurance coverage is appropriate, cost-effective, compliance with statutory and contractual requirements, and aligned with the Company’s risk profile and financial objectives.

Primary Responsibility

1. Manage the Company’s insurance portfolio, including property damage and business interruption, public liability, employee compensation, group medical and life, motor, project / construction and other corporate insurance lines as required.
2. Coordinate insurance renewals, declarations, endorsements and policy administration in a timely and accurate manner.
3. Review insurance coverage, limits, deductibles and policy terms to ensure alignment with business operations, contractual obligations and risk exposures.  
4. Work with Finance and relevant stakeholders to validate insured values, payroll, headcount, revenues and other underwriting information used for renewals and declarations.
5. Assess the financial impact of insurance structures, deductibles, retentions and uninsured exposures, and support management in evaluating risk financing options.
6. Maintain insurance schedules, policy records, claims registers and supporting documentation. 
7. Manage insurance claims across relevant lines of business, including claim notification, document collection, loss reporting, follow-up and settlement coordination.
8. Liaise with internal departments, insurers, brokers, adjusters and legal advisers to support effective claims handling and recovery.
9. Monitor claims status, claims reserves, settlement trends and outstanding recoveries.

Requirements

1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Insurance, Risk Management, Business Administration or related discipline. 
2. Insurance or risk management qualifications such as ACII, ANZIIF, or equivalent would be an advantage. 
3. Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in insurance, risk management, finance, audit, corporate insurance, broking or a related field.
4. Experience in a large corporate, hospitality, gaming, property, construction or integrated resort environment is preferred.
