Project Manager - Design Support

Position Summary

The incumbent will be responsible for monitoring and coordinating consultant team on design and delivery of overall BOH area. preparing documents and reports, attend meetings with consultants and, government authorities document and issue meeting minutes.

Primary Responsibility

• Monitor and supervise team of consultants in developing design efforts including schedule, cost, attend and document meetings, coordinate with Government authorities
• Monitor and supervise the subordinates in completing their assignment within schedule
• Review and comment on consultants’ submissions including design, design reports, technical reports, maintain scheduled and cost information
• Assist in value engineering of consultants’ design. And recommend cost effective source of alternative suppliers, design solutions without compromising the design intent
• In collaboration with other teams, assist in guiding the consultant team to ensure cost effectiveness
• Assist in providing design support for and communicate closely with the Design Team on new/modified designs as required
• Work closely with other teams in resolving key design issues that may affect the design or impair the progress of work
• Provide leadership to design consultant team throughout the design progress

Requirements

• Diploma of Architecture with minimum 10 years’ experience in multi-use-projects. Experience in casinos and hotels would be an advantage 
• Strong background and experience Architectural Design and Design Management. Design experience in Interiors is a plus 
• Familiar with the specification of building materials, installation details & statuary building and files codes. Experience in Macau is a plus 
• Experience in working as Owner Representative is a major advantage
• Capable in preparing sketches, perspective and details; able to use AutoCAD. Knowledge in other drawing programs such as PhotoShop would be an advantage 
• Excellent communication skills and strong personality 
• Proficiency in English and Cantonese. Proficient in Mandarin, is a plus 
• Responsible, self-motivated and able to work under pressure
