Position Summary

This position is a senior-level expert role that serves as the design authority for the infrastructure, cloud, and platform domain.
Under the guidance of the AVP, the Senior Manager is responsible for establishing and maintaining end‑to‑end solution architectures (conceptual, logical, and physical) that are feasible, secure, scalable, resilient, and supportable.
The role bridges Enterprise Architecture, Partner/Business, Solution Development, Cyber Security, and Operations to ensure that approved designs are delivered “as‑built” with strong non‑functional outcomes and complete, version‑controlled documentation.

Primary Responsibility

- Lead end-to-end solution design for capabilities across the infrastructure, cloud, and platform domains.
- Drive the following (but not limited to) Domain name-specific NFRs: for tiered resilience on our infrastructure, cloud, and platform stack, including servers, storage, memory, networking, virtualization, containers, observability.
- Provide architectural support to solution delivery with Vendors/Solution Development to ensure approved flows are in accordance with approved architectural designs, that are correctly implemented/observable in production.
- Author and sign technical architectures (conceptual → logical → physical); present designs to the Architecture Design Board (ADB); manage constraints and waivers with full traceability.
- Maintain the architecture runway and modernization roadmap; support estimation, planning, and handover to Operations with complete as-built documentation.
- Act as domain SME and advisor for Infrastructure, Cloud, and Platform initiatives, including vendor solution validation, contract design requirements, and alignment with enterprise standards.
- Communicate and ensure compliance with organizational security policies and standards; proactively work with Company business units to implement practices that meet defined policies and standards for Applications & Services Architecture. 
- Provide support, guidance, mentoring and education, to ensure that appropriate monitoring and controls are in place for compliance with Applications & Services Architecture standards and procedures.
- Maintain decisions and standards related to the master application list (MAL) - continually reviewing the entire domain's systems and services with the objective to disposition each, driving a continuous improvement roadmap from inception through obsolescence. 
- Work closely with technology risk management and cyber security to facilitate and identify acceptable levels of risk, and establish roles and responsibilities accordingly.
- Work with vendors and to ensure architecture decisions are optimally deployed and tested on a regular basis. Coordinate the performance of internal and external network and systems vulnerability assessments and penetration tests.
- Audit vendor compliance with architectural requirements as needed.
- Coordinate organizational efforts on the introduction of all new technology within the domain - infrastructure, systems, and cloud.
- Develop business-relevant metrics to measure the efficiency and effectiveness of the existing technology assets within the domain, facilitate appropriate resource allocation and increase the maturity of the technology stack in all areas.

Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferable) in electrical engineering, telecommunications engineering, computer science/engineering, systems analysis or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5-7 years in enterprise software/application development and system design, including significant experience in solution/enterprise architecture.
- Domain experience in public and private clouds, server, storage, networking, on-premise data centre design,.
- Demonstrated experience in HA/DR infrastructure architectures is a must
- Experienced in modern application design is a strong plus (event-driven microservices, APIs, containers, serverless)
- Familiarity in enterprise architecture frameworks (TOGAF, Zachman, or Gartner) and Agile at scale (CI/CD, DevOps) is a plus
- Knowledge of cloud (ie. Applications, services and hybrid-multi-cloud platforms) as well as SaaS/PaaS/IaaS and Kubernetes is a strong plus
- Knowledge of application portfolio management including legacy modernization and obsolescence roadmaps
- Knowledge of security frameworks, compliance standards (GDPR, PCI-DSS), and risk management
- Experience managing third-party vendor architectures and contracts
- Knowledge of data center/networking operations is beneficial but not required
- Professional certifications in EA (TOGAF), cloud (Alibaba/AWS/Azure/GCP), or security would be assets
- Excellent English communication skills (ability to communicate in Cantonese/Mandarin beneficial but not required)

- Strong problem-solving, leadership and customer service skills
- Strong ability to manage business relationships tactfully
