Senior Manager - Operational Risk Mgmt

Position Summary
This position is a key member for the Operational Risk Management Department who will help to implement risk management framework and initiatives including but not limited to the risk register, that are associated with the Company. In particular, he/she will provide insightful and practical inputs based on practical risk management background and knowledge in the operational risk management areas. He/she will also be responsible for the assessments and regular reporting of those operational risks based on the review of the process, relevant documentation, and the status of mitigation, if any, for further review by the management teams.
Primary Responsibility
- Provide crucial assistance in: (1) rolling out and implementing the “Risk Management Framework" including the Risk Register, (2) reporting on the status of current risks, and (3) tracking the progress of ongoing corrective actions
- Obtain a thorough understanding of the existing business and support functions/departments, risk owners/ champions and the type of documentation related to the specific risks that are in-scope for the detailed review due to their significance
- Facilitate the discussion with the risk owners and other relevant stakeholders about the specific risks associated with their operations to be reviewed and their significance
- Review the necessary information and documentation from risk owners/ champions, with a specific focus on overseeing risk control and mitigation to ensure they have properly and sufficiently addressed the risks as reported by the risk owners
- Facilitate the follow-up discussion with the risk owners/champions and relevant stakeholders about the findings from the review, if any
- Ensure appropriate documentation and validation supporting the closure of risk items being identified
- Conduct independent review of significant risks and improve risk related processes, documentation and incident response
- Assist in reviewing COI and background check cases requiring oversight on potential risk exposures if necessary
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business in a reputable universities, higher education is a plus
- 5-8 years solid working experience in MNCs environment and held managerial position(s), preferably with Gaming and Hospitality operation experience
- Able to build strong working relationships with key stakeholders across different Business Units
- Excellent business writing and Power Point skills, needed to prepare Management reports and recommendations
- Sensitive to numbers and excellent Excel skills to analyze raw data and be able to transform into meaningful analysis for Senior Management team
- High degree of organizational skills and ability to multi-task
- Flexible and be able to take ad-hoc tasks
- Self motivated; able to work independently as well as in a team environment
- Management Consulting experience (i.e. Big 4) and working knowledge of crisis management and business continuity are a plus
- Fluency spoken and written English and Chinese (Cantonese/ Mandarin)
