Senior Officer - Media Relations

Position Summary

Senior Officer – Media Relations in the development and implementation of a strategic media plan on a timely basis in order to build the best media perception in the community. Assist in overseeing the market intelligence and news monitoring and share with Corporate PR team with the appropriate information and/or recommendations when needed in a timely and proactively manner.

Primary Responsibility

• Work closely with Senior Manager – Media Relations on the formulation and implementation of public relations strategies both locally and internationally in order to strengthen GEG's public image • Work closely with Corporate and Community Relations, Events Management and Responsible Gaming teams to ensure our events and programs are publicized positively through our connections/ relationships with media stakeholders • Gather factual knowledge and identify opportunities, manage local issues and crisis when media is involved; • Responsible for news monitoring/market intelligence; • Assist in administrative/ office works when required

Requirements

• Certificates and/or degrees in communications/public relations/ marketing is preferable; • At least 3 years experiences working in public relations in Macau is preferable; • Understanding of the Chinese culture are protocols; • Knowledge and good relationships with the media; • Fluent in English and Cantonese and able to communicate with different groups of people on different levels; • Demonstrate team spirit and cooperation; • Act with professionalism and integrity; • Ability to work long hours; • Computer literacy.
