The Senior Project  Manager-MEP- is responsible for the management of the building design of minor capital projects and amendment and alteration works for Galaxy Macau. In addition, as a senior PM, role requires active involvement in managing his own projects as well as monitoring progress of several projects as well.

Position Summary

The Senior Project Manager - MEP is responsible for the management of the building design of minor capital projects and amendment and alteration works for Galaxy Macau. In addition, as a senior PM, role requires active involvement in managing his own projects as well as monitoring progress of several projects as well.

Primary Responsibility

Preconstruction stage

1. Participate in feasibility review of proposed project for MEP, Commercial and Design team

2. Review BU (project) brief and assist with scope of works preparation

3. Review drawing sets and understand detailing to ensure that tender sets are complete and ready for tender

4. Formulate and Manage the timeline for each discipline within the Project programme

5. Prepare project logistics and project phasing within a power point to be presented to BU and Ops for coordination

6. Prepare and present project kick-off to all BUs and internal design & commercial teams. Organize with FM and Ops team for coordination with work permits, scope of works and isolations/interruptions to areas around the works

7. Lead the tender site walks to define scope, logistics, material handling, site rules and regulations etc.

8. Prepare and assist all other disciplines for the government submission documents especially providing the Hoarding plan, Project programme etc. 

 

Construction Stage

1. Manage day-to-day onsite progress with the contractors/sub-contractor's manpower, Safety toolbox talks and preparedness for works scope

2. Track meeting minutes (and report) for the weekly project progress, coordinate solving technical, logistical, material and coordination issues on the project

3. Manage and Lead the overall project prorgramme to ensure the project is delivered in time, on budget and to the agreed quality standards through robust site and project management methods

4. Manage and attend all milestone inspections including but not limited to special testing and verification with all consultants and contractors

5. Attend all safety briefings and meetings to ensure all safety procedures are in place and under practice.

6.Oversee Technical developments and keep abreast of emerging " best practice" as they relate to construction and facility management and access their application with Galaxy Macau properties and off site facilities.

7. To arrange and attend factory visit before the products going to deliver to Galaxy onsite installation, ensure the product are comply with approved drawings and specifications.

 

Post Construction Stage

1. Develop all defects report combing all stakeholders, manage the defect closure and coordinate with all stakeholders/BUs.

2. Lead the coordination and schedule all rectifications works between the BU/Stakeholder and contractors/consultants.

3. Close-out all materials submissions, RFIs, project inquiries.

4. Prepare areas for government inspections (e.g. FSD, DSSOPT, MGTO etc.).

5. Coordinate all witness testing and demonstrations between MEP, testing and Commissioning and other operational demonstrations.

6. Organize/schedule training and handover of equipment, areas, systems with BU/Ops/FM.

7. Engage with Submission consultants, third-party checker and fire engineering consultants representing project goals.

Requirements

1. Degree in Architecture/Construction/Building/Engineering Discipline.
2. At least 10 - 15 years senior position experience in Construction/Engineering industry
3. Experience in managing external consultants in a project delivery role 4. Highly organized
5. Strong demonstrated problem solving skills especially with regards to detailing at site.
6. Can lead and motivate others and works within a team environment
7. Must be well versed in Microsoft Office & MS Projects. Knowledge of AutoCAD is also required.

Prepare and assist all other disciplines for the government submission documents especially providing the Hoarding plan, Project programme etc. Participate in the Value Engineering exercise with the appropriate project teams and apply " doing more with less" into the project philosophy. 9. To prepare technical assessment report for a project and also the recommendation if required. 10. Attend the tender interviews to align scope, quality and project timeline.

 

Construction Stage- 1. Manage day-to-day onsite progress with the contractors/sub-contractor's manpower, Safety toolbox talks and preparedness for works scope 2. Manage the labor count and skill levels to complete the scheduled sequence of works 3. Track meeting minutes (and report) for the weekly project progress, coordinate solving technical, logistical, material and coordination issues on the project 4. Manage and Lead the overall project prorgramme to ensure the project is delivered in time, on budget and to the agreed quality standards through robust site and project management methods 5. Manage and attend all milestone inspections including but not limited to special testing and verification with all consultants and contractors 6. Attend all on site setting -out to ensure and prevent field issues and clashes with other trades and disciplines. 7. Directly coordinate with the BUs for site progress and updates each week. 8. Attend all safety briefings and meetings to ensure all safety procedures are in place and under practice. 9. Manage and motivate the team in a "performance culture" and ensure they are all accountable for their individual job responsibilities. 10. Ensure the department works as a cohesive team responding to the needs of the galaxy Macau Business Units and Executive Management. 11.Oversee Technical developments and keep abreast of emerging " best practice" as they relate to construction and facility management and access their application with Galaxy Macau properties and off site facilities. 12. Problem solving technique not only apply to onsite management but also include in project management. 13. To arrange and attend factory visit before the products going to deliver to Galaxy onsite installation, ensure the product are comply with approved drawings and specifications.

Coordinate and attend weekly P&L meetings to confirm status of government submission and status to close out. 9. Engage with Submission consultants, third-party checker and fire engineering consultants representing project goals. 10. To issue Practical Certificate to contractors, complete forms including contractors score card, BU's feedback questionnaires and collect as-built record from contractors etc.
