Senior Project Manager - Design Support

Position Summary
Reporting to the VP – Design (Landscape), the role shall ensure high-quality implementation for the Grand Resort Deck (GRD), Villas Gardens and hotel pools, with water attraction & water theme park experience and meeting all standards and aligning seamlessly with project timelines. Drive consistent design management and quality control processes that support Design (landscape) team, overall project objectives and enhance guest experience across all resort landscape elements.
Primary Responsibility
- Monitor and supervise hardscape, softscape Landscape Architecture & Aquatic Engineering consultants in developing Design efforts; including coordination, monitoring schedules and costs in an effort to achieve owner's design requirements with designated budgets and program
- Overse the design and implementation of water park and attraction elements, including wave pools & lazy rivers. Manage aquatic specialist, review programs and ensure vendors input align with design and project goals. Strong coordination skills and expertise in water feature design, execution and quality control.
- Monitor and supervise the Landscape Architecture consultant(s) and Water Attraction Specialists in completing tasks on schedule
- Review and comment on consultant's submissions (including water attraction specialists) including drawings, specifications, design reports, technical reports, programs, schedules and budgets
- Support the value engineering of consultants' design and recommend cost effective sources, alternative suppliers, and design solutions without compromising the design intent
- Establish design needs and planning criteria
- Provide design support for and communicate closely with the consultant team on new/ modified designs for the projects, as required
- Work closely with consulting teams in resolving key design issues that may affect the individual and or overall Design or impair the progress of work
- Support the in-house team in the preparation of tender packages
- Provide leadership to in-house and consultant teams throughout the design process, as well to SPM' direct reports as required
Requirements
- Minimum 15 years' experience in Landscape Architecture; experience shall be in architectural or Landscape architecture firms, or within the landscape design management office of a property developer. Minimum of 5 years experience in large-scale integrated resort, water attractions, water theme park or mixed-use projects required
- Experienced in managing and providing leadership to project staff on landscape design
- Strong background and experience in Landscape Design and Design management. Design experience in architectural design is a plus
- Familiar with the specification of landscaping materials and installation details. Experience in Macau is a plus
- Capable of preparing sketches, perspectives and details; able to use AutoCAD. Knowledge in other drawing programs would be an advantage
- The candidate must be fluent in Cantonese and English. (Proficiency in Mandarin, is a plus)
- The candidate must demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills
- The candidate must be responsible, self-motivated and able to work under pressure
