Shift Manager - Security

Position Summary

• The Security Shift Manager to discharge their duties as prescribed in the job description listed below and as per department policies and procedures.

Primary Responsibility

• The use of the Chain of command in all matters pertaining to the Security Department may it be about Security or personal
• Ensure that all Security reports are submitted in a timely manner
• Maintain a high employee moral and good customer relations
• Assigns Security personnel performance of their duties to evaluate their efficiency and to detect and correct inefficient work practices
• May interview and make recommendations for promotions and demotions
• Demonstrates and explains methods of detecting and apprehending those suspected of violating company policy and procedure
• Analyses Security needs, estimate costs and present proposals to the Assistant Vice President - Security
• Develops plans and assists in employee training programs
• Performs other duties as directed by the Assistant Vice President

Requirements

• 5 years experience working within the security industry, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role or higher, with 2 years in an equivalent position

Experience within the hospitality industry essential, casino experience preferable
