Shift Supervisor - Security

Position Summary

The Security Supervisor will effectively discharge their duties as prescribed in the job description listed below and as per departmental policies and procedures. The use of the Chain of command in all matters pertaining to the Security Department may it be about Security or personal. To ensure that all Company policies and procedures are strictly adhered to, and to report any breach of this policy or procedure to the Security Manager

Primary Responsibility

• Assign Security Officers to posts or other areas as needed
• Officer property against theft, fire, vandalism and illegal entry
• Delivers chips and documentation to and from gaming tables and chip bank, escort hopper fills from the coin booth, removes drop boxes from the gaming tables
• Can be assigned to destroy used gaming equipment in the prescribed manner
• Patrol the grounds or buildings periodically
• Communicate with other Security Personnel using the Security communications system in a professional manner and following procedures at all times
• Warn violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles in prohibited areas
• Ensure that patrons entering the property meet all Galaxy Resort & Casino requirements
• May be required to escort inebriated guest/patron/staff from the premises
• Examine doors, windows and gates to ensure that they are secured
• Sound alarm or call Police/Fire Department by telephone in case of fire or the presence of authorized persons
• Completes incident reports on property damage, unusual occurrences and malfunctioning of machinery or equipment

Requirements

• A thorough knowledge of Security procedures
• Must be self-disciplined; be able to work alone or as a team member
• Minimum of 4 years experience working in the security industry with two years or more in a supervisory role or higher
• Physically fit and healthy.
• Must be available to perform shift duty.
• Good communication skills in Chinese and English.
