Sr Project Manager - Commercial Support

Position Summary

Reporting to the Vice President - Commercial, the incumbent will be responsible for the effective budget control, contract procurement activities and post-award contract management of designated work packages, with the objective that assigned contract packages will be delivered within budget and managed in a professional manner.

Primary Responsibility

- Lead a team of Project Managers - Commercial,  and ensure that all construction and relevant costs are controlled and tracked within the pre-determined budget.
- Recommend alternative cost-control / value engineering solutions for the projects, and ensure a thorough review of cost estimates, cost plans and cost reconciliation.
- Manage the contract procurement program and review deliverables to ensure timely award of different work packages to the specified quality and within allowed budget.
- Oversee cost administration of main contractors and sub-contractors and related contract administration.
- Proactively monitor changes and advise on impact to the overall construction budget to ensure there will be no budget overrun.
-Keep detailed records of potential claim items and implement preventive measures for minimizing future contractual claims and disputes by main contractors and sub-contractors.

Requirements

- High Diploma/Degree or above in Quantity Surveying or related fields
- MRICS / MHKIS or equivalent qualification
- Minimum 15 years (of which not less than 10 years since professionally qualified) relevant project experience in the quantity surveying or contracts / commercial management discipline
- Experience in Hotel & Casino development projects in Macau is preferred
- A strong team player
- Experience in leading and managing design and QS consultants
- Proficient in spoken and written English and Chinese
