Sr Technician - Staging & Rigging

Position Summary

• Perform staging services including setup and dismantle of all staging equipment, backstage facilities, carpeting etc. in the Arena for the hirer of the venue and other departments
• Provide logistic support of technical operation for the events in the Arena
• Perform repair and maintenance of the staging and production logistic equipment
• Support the technical needs and performs related duties as assigned by supervisor
 

Primary Responsibility

• Perform daily scheduled on operation/maintenance work skillfully and carefully
• Fabricate and install sets, props, carpets, chairs, staging equipment etc.
• Clean, repair and maintain the staging equipment, as well as the stage floor, chairs and carpet, report any needed items or repairs to supervisor
• Supervise the work of casual workers
• Record all necessary report including incident and accidents into the logbook
• Ensure compliance with health and safety procedures
• Ready to work at irregular hours, including weekends, public holidays and overnight

Requirements

• Min 5 years of pertinent experience in the fields related to the position for Senior Technician
• High School graduate or above
• Knowledge of methods and techniques of maintaining, installing and repairing stage equipment
• Physical fitness and ability to lift heavy equipment
• Communicate clearly and concisely both English and Chinese
