Supervisor - Staging & Rigging

Position Summary

• The Supervisor - Staging & Rigging, under Technical Operations, is to assist Manager / Senior Manager - Staging and Rigging to build the SOP, training materials, testing and commissioning of the new equipment. 
• Oversee and manage the delivery of Arena-scale stagecraft elements as well as the structure of the stage performance and visual details
• Perform rigging services including safe set up, use and maintenance of rigging system according to the approved technical rider with correct load calculation for each events in the Arena & Convex.
• Operate rigging equipment during production, performances and rehearsal when necessary
• Coordinate with outside vendors, monitor their performance.
• Perform repair, maintenance/inspections of rigging equipment to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations

Primary Responsibility

• Build the SOP, training materials, testing and commissioning of the new equipment. 
• Perform daily scheduled operation/maintenance work skillfully and carefully.
• Assemble, construct, maintain and operate all rigging equipment as needed for training, special events, rehearsals and performances.
• Maintain and record all necessary report including incident and accidents into the Logbook.
• Ensuring that rigging equipment is dismantled and properly stored after use.
• Ensuring compliance with state and safety procedures.
• Prepare to work additional or alternative duties as required.
• Ready to work at irregular hours, including weekends, public holidays and overnight.

Requirements

Experience

• Min 5 years of pertinent experience in the fields related to the position

Education

• High school diploma/or relevant Arena-scale Staging and Rigging training

Skills / Competencies

• Holder of IRATA Level 3
• Familiarity with OS&H safety standards 
• In-depth knowledge of rigging equipment and heavy machinery
• Excellent hearing and vision
• Ability to work at heights and in noisy environments
• Promote teamwork and support within all department members
• Physical fitness and ability to lift heavy equipment
• Good communication skills in both English and Chinese
