Technician (Building Maintenance)

Position Summary

The Technician will add value to the Departmental performance by carrying out builders’ work and related in operation, repair and maintenance within the properties 

Primary Responsibility

• Execute preventive and corrective maintenance activities for Building Maintenance team in meeting GEG brand standards and guest satisfaction and expectation. Work closely with all other Departments to achieve maximum guest satisfaction.
• Understand the use of materials, tools and equipment for related trade work implementation.
• Understand and follow all relevant occupational health and safety procedures.
• Notify Supervisor about materials, parts and tools required.
• Notify Supervisors of any findings regarding safety concern or potential hazard.
• Always maintain clean and presentable appearance at work.
• Feedback to Supervisor of work progress.
• Attend training.
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Have served a relevant and accredited apprenticeship in related trade
• At least 1 year of experience in Builder's Works/ Painting trade, preferably in a 5-star hotel environment
• Team spirit and cooperation
• High efficiency and good technical background
• Proficiency in Cantonese, both written and spoken
• Knowledge of Mandarin and English is preferred but not essential
• Shift duties as necessary and assigned
• PC working knowledge is preferred
• Work at height is necessary
