Position Summary
Reporting to the Supervisor, the Technician is responsible for providing facilities management, operation, and maintenance services for GICC, Arena, and Andaz Hotel. The role supports MICE, hotel, F&B, and administrative operations through 24/7 shift rotation, ensuring all facilities and systems operate safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company standards.
Primary Responsibility
- Provide operation and maintenance support on a 24/7 shift basis to ensure continuous property operations and high levels of guest satisfaction.
- Respond promptly to facilities-related service requests, breakdowns, and emergency situations as the first point of contact during assigned shifts.
- Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance works for GICC, Arena, and Andaz facilities in accordance with established standards and maintenance schedules.
- Provide onsite technical support for infrastructure services, building maintenance services, and duty engineering operations as directed by supervisors or management.
- Operate, monitor, and maintain building Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Manage corrective maintenance requests effectively and update, track, and close work orders through the Maximo system.
- Work closely with other departments to support operational requirements and enhance guest experiences.
- Apply proper maintenance methodologies and utilize appropriate tools, equipment, and materials when performing maintenance activities for (Fire Services & Vertical Transportation Systems (FS & VTS), Plumbing & Drainage (P&D), Potable & Wastewater Facilities (P&WF), Kitchen Equipment, BMU & Elevated Work Platform (EWP) Systems)
- Continuously develop technical skills and competencies through on-the-job training and knowledge sharing from Senior Technicians, Supervisors, and Engineers.
- Comply with all workplace health, safety, and operational procedures.
- Maintain a professional appearance and conduct at all times.
- Attend required training programs and perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Certificate, apprenticeship qualification, or relevant training in Building Services, Building Maintenance, Facilities Management, Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred.
- Minimum 1-2 years of relevant experience in building services, facilities management, or building maintenance, preferably within a 5-star hotel, casino, integrated resort, or hospitality environment.
- Possession of the following qualifications and certifications is preferred, including HKSAR EMSD Electrical Worker Certificate Grade B or Grade C (or equivalent DSAL-recognized certification), DSAL Construction Safety Card, DSAL Food & Beverage Safety Card, and certificates in Facilities Management, Engineering, Technical Services, or other relevant vocational training programs. Possession of an Electrical Worker Certificate issued by EMSD or DSAL will be considered an advantage.
- Hands-on experience and sound technical knowledge in building services systems, facilities operations, and building maintenance practices.
- Self-motivated, disciplined, and customer-focused with strong interpersonal and communication skills. Demonstrates a positive attitude, teamwork spirit, initiative, and a strong commitment to delivering results.
- Proficient in spoken Cantonese and written Chinese. Ability to communicate and read basic English is an advantage.
- Willingness and flexibility to work rotating shifts, including weekends and public holidays, is required.
- Basic computer literacy and familiarity with standard office applications and maintenance management systems are preferred.
