Technician (Operations)

Position Summary

Assist on technical daily operations and maintenance of Sound, lighting and video systems include operate of the Systems in the venues with Live Entertainment and Events.  

Primary Responsibility

• Working closely with the Supervisor and Senior Technician on daily technical operation and maintenance of Audio Visual Systems in the venues with Entertainment and events
• Assist in setting up and dismantling the acquisition and installation technical system for event and on-going performance venue
• Knowledge of various venues build in system to provide quality operation in sound, light and video to customers
• Assist in maintaining an appropriate stock of repair and maintenance tool equipment and consumables for the normal wear and tear maintenance of the systems in an cost effective way
• To check the technical equipment regularly to ensure the equipment is working properly and well maintained
• Perform any other duties as required 
• Assist on stage sound & lighting system daily operation
• Liaise effective with other team members to ensure control and success of all projects.
• Provide audio visual support on setting up and dismantle equipment for conferences & special events.
• Assist on technical operations reports and related documents, such as monthly report / inventory / maintenance checklist / technical rider.
• Carrying out routine technical support tasks and services, e.g. setup, tape duplication, making up cables and maintenance checks on equipment
 

Requirements

• Over 1 year experience in similar entity or Technical Production or Engineering company either in a Stage Production, Theatre or Hotel Technical/AV team or Equipment Rental entity
• Relevant Experience in the AV and engineering of entertainment venues such as Hotel ballrooms, theatre, sports or exhibition venue preferred
• Junior High School graduate or above
• Knowledge of Audio, Visual, Lighting or Video System and production work
• Good command of written & spoken Cantonese & Mandarin
• Maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude, and the ability to deal effectively with management, Artistes, performers, employees and outside contacts while working under pressure and meeting deadlines.
